Following the severe decline in its fortunes a few years ago, the American furniture industry has begun a period of recovery. This is partly due to the fact that some manufacturers have resumed investment in the continental USA instead of exporting production to China. However, when it comes to the production processes most US manufacturers are still way behind European standards.
